Terms of service

Version 1.0 of 3 November 2026 · In force from publication on magicbucket.pro

In short

  • These terms cover the website, the access request form, free test access to the MagicBucket.pro application, application accounts and email correspondence.
  • Reading the website is free and needs no registration.
  • Test access is free and creates no obligation to buy. We agree its scope with you by email, and either side can end it at any time by email. We may decline a request without giving reasons.
  • Paid use requires a separate written agreement.
  • Documents with personal data can be uploaded only after we have signed a data processing agreement.
  • Results come from automated reading by several AI models. A blank field is a designed outcome, not a fault. Check the results before relying on them. They are not accounting, tax, legal or audit advice.
  • Complaints go by email or letter. We reply in writing within 14 days.

The summary helps reading; the full text below is binding.

1. Service provider

  1. The services described in these terms are provided by ETHICALC spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością, with its registered office in Gdańsk, ul. ks. Leona Miszewskiego 18/2C, 80-239 Gdańsk, Poland, entered in the register of entrepreneurs of the National Court Register (KRS) under no. 0001241947, NIP 9571202612, REGON 544803812 (“Ethicalc”).
  2. Contact with Ethicalc is in writing: by email to hello@magicbucket.pro or by letter to the registered office.
  3. These terms are the terms of service referred to in Art. 8 of the Polish Act of 18 July 2002 on providing services by electronic means.

2. Definitions

  • Website: magicbucket.pro with its subpages.
  • Application: the MagicBucket.pro application at app.magicbucket.pro, which reads documents.
  • User: a person who uses the Website or any service described in these terms.
  • Customer: the business or other organization on whose behalf a User requests Test Access or uses the Application.
  • Test Access: free use of the Application on terms agreed by email under section 5.
  • Agreement: a separate written agreement on paid use of the Application.
  • Data Processing Agreement: an agreement under Art. 28 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) between the Customer as controller and Ethicalc as processor.
  • Results: everything the Application produces from a document, including the extracted values and the record of how each value was read.
  • Consumer: a natural person within the meaning of Art. 221 of the Polish Civil Code.
  • Entrepreneur with consumer rights: a natural person who concludes a contract directly connected with their business activity, where the content of the contract shows that it is not of a professional nature for that person, in particular in view of the subject of their business activity disclosed in the Central Register and Information on Economic Activity (CEIDG) (Art. 38a of the Polish Consumer Rights Act of 30 May 2014).

3. Services provided electronically

  1. Ethicalc provides the following services by electronic means:
    • access to the content of the Website, free of charge and without registration;
    • the access request form on the access page;
    • free Test Access to the Application (section 5);
    • User accounts in the Application (section 6);
    • email correspondence about the services.
  2. The contract for access to Website content is concluded when a User opens a page of the Website and ends when the User leaves it.
  3. The contract for the access request form is concluded when the User starts filling in the form and ends when the form is sent or the User leaves the page.
  4. The contract for email correspondence is concluded when Ethicalc receives a User’s message and ends when Ethicalc replies or the matter is otherwise closed.
  5. Paid use of the Application is possible only under a separate written Agreement. These terms then apply to the transfer of files and to accounts, unless the Agreement provides otherwise.

4. Who the services are for

  1. Anyone may read the Website. The other services are intended for businesses and organizations.
  2. A person who sends the access request form, requests Test Access or uses the Application on behalf of an organization declares that they are authorized to act for that organization.
  3. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights that cannot be excluded or limited by contract, in particular the rights of Consumers and of Entrepreneurs with consumer rights. Where a provision of these terms would be less favorable to them than mandatory law, the law applies instead.

5. Test Access

  1. Test Access can be requested through the access request form on the access page.
  2. After receiving a request, Ethicalc may propose the scope of the test by email: the document types, the page limit, the duration and the number of Users. The contract for Test Access is concluded when the scope has been agreed in writing by email.
  3. Ethicalc may decline a request without giving reasons. Declining costs the requester nothing.
  4. Test Access is free of charge and creates no obligation to buy.
  5. Either side may end Test Access at any time by email. Test Access also ends when the agreed duration expires.
  6. Documents containing personal data may be uploaded only after the Data Processing Agreement has been signed (section 10).
  7. Documents uploaded during the test are deleted when the test ends, unless the Customer continues under an Agreement.

6. Accounts in the Application

  1. Accounts are created for Users of a Customer that has Test Access or an Agreement. An account is for one person and may not be shared.
  2. A User signs in with an email address and a password. Two-step sign-in with an authenticator app is available, and Ethicalc recommends turning it on.
  3. Each organization sees only its own documents. The organization is determined only by the sign-in. Within an organization, a User sees the documents they uploaded, and the Customer’s administrator sees all of the organization’s documents.
  4. The contract for an account is concluded when the account is created. It ends when the account is deleted or when the Customer no longer has Test Access or an Agreement, whichever comes first.

7. Technical requirements

  • Website: a device with internet access and a current web browser. The Website needs no JavaScript and sets no cookies.
  • Application: a current web browser with JavaScript enabled.
  • Correspondence: an email account.

8. Prohibited content

Users must not:

  • provide content of an unlawful nature;
  • upload files containing malware or other harmful software;
  • upload documents they have no right to share.

9. Threats and security

  1. Using services provided by electronic means involves the usual risks of the internet, in particular messages that pretend to come from known companies in order to obtain data (phishing), and malware in email attachments.
  2. Ethicalc never asks by email for passwords, sign-in codes, bank sign-in details or payment card data.
  3. A bank account number for any payment is given only in a written Agreement. If a different number appears in any other message, please write to Ethicalc before making a transfer.
  4. How documents are protected in the Application is described on the security page and in the privacy policy.

10. Customer obligations

  1. The Customer ensures that it has the right to upload the documents, and the data in them, to the Application.
  2. Before any document containing personal data is uploaded, the Customer signs a Data Processing Agreement with Ethicalc. For that data the Customer is the controller and Ethicalc is the processor.
  3. The Customer’s administrator manages the organization’s Users, including removing access for people who should no longer have it.
  4. Users keep their sign-in details secret and do not share accounts.

11. Nature of the Results

  1. Results come from automated reading of documents by several AI models. A value is accepted only when the models agree under a fixed agreement rule. Otherwise the field stays blank or is marked as disputed, with the reason.
  2. A blank or disputed field is a designed outcome of that rule, not a fault of the service.
  3. Agreement between models lowers the risk of a wrong value but does not rule it out, especially where a value has to be inferred from the content rather than read as written.
  4. The Customer reviews the Results before relying on them and decides how to use them.
  5. Results are not accounting, tax, legal or audit advice.
  6. Anything the Website marks as a “target”, “estimate” or “example” is not a contractual commitment.

12. Intellectual property

  1. The software, the reading methodology and the MagicBucket.pro technology remain with Ethicalc. Using the services gives no rights to them beyond use of the services under these terms or an Agreement.
  2. The Customer keeps all rights to its documents and to the Results produced from them.

13. Confidentiality

  1. Ethicalc keeps confidential the documents and information it receives from the Customer and uses them only to provide the services, unless the law requires disclosure.
  2. Ethicalc does not use the Customer’s documents to train AI models.
  3. Ethicalc shows examples from the Customer’s documents or Results publicly only with the Customer’s written consent, and without names or personal data.

14. Liability

  1. Ethicalc provides the services with due care.
  2. Test Access and the other services described in these terms are free of charge. To the extent permitted by law, Ethicalc is not liable for damage arising from their use. This does not apply to damage caused intentionally.
  3. Ethicalc is not liable for decisions taken on the basis of Results that were not reviewed, or for the consequences of false or incomplete documents provided to it.
  4. Towards a Consumer or an Entrepreneur with consumer rights, Ethicalc is liable under the general rules of law, and points 2 and 3 do not limit their rights.
  5. Liability for paid use is governed by the Agreement.

15. Complaints

  1. Complaints about the services can be sent by email to hello@magicbucket.pro or by letter to Ethicalc’s registered office.
  2. Please state who you are, which service the complaint concerns and what is wrong.
  3. Ethicalc replies to a complaint in writing within 14 days of receiving it.

16. Termination

  1. A User may stop using the Website and the form at any time by leaving the page.
  2. Either side may end Test Access at any time by email (section 5).
  3. A User or the Customer may ask by email at any time for an account to be deleted.
  4. After the end of Test Access, its documents are deleted unless the Customer continues under an Agreement. Under an Agreement, documents are handled as set in the Data Processing Agreement.
  5. An Agreement ends on its own terms.

17. Changes to these terms

  1. Ethicalc may change these terms for important reasons, in particular a change in the law or in the scope of the services.
  2. Ethicalc publishes the new version on the Website with a new version number and date and, before the change takes effect, informs Users who have an account by email.
  3. Changes are not retroactive. Test Access agreed before a change continues on the earlier terms unless the Customer agrees otherwise by email.

18. Final provisions

  1. These terms are available free of charge on the Website in a form that can be saved and printed.
  2. Polish law applies.
  3. Disputes with a Customer that is neither a Consumer nor an Entrepreneur with consumer rights are settled by the court competent for Ethicalc’s registered office. Other disputes are settled by the court competent under the general rules.
  4. Matters not covered by these terms are governed by the Polish Civil Code, the Act of 18 July 2002 on providing services by electronic means and, for Consumers and Entrepreneurs with consumer rights, the Consumer Rights Act of 30 May 2014.
  5. How Ethicalc processes personal data is described in the privacy policy.
